About Stephen E. Sennett
Stephen E. Sennett is the founder and principal attorney of Sennett Law PLLC, where he primarily serves as outsourced general counsel to business owners across a wide range of industries. With a focus on practical, proactive legal guidance, Stephen helps business leaders navigate day-to-day operations, minimize risks, and build sustainable organizations. Stephen has a strong connection to the outdoor recreation industry, working with outfitters, guides, and businesses that share his passion for the outdoors. At the same time, his practice extends to clients in all sectors, providing tailored counsel that balances legal compliance with business goals.
Before establishing Sennett Law PLLC in 2024, Stephen built a diverse career in law and business leadership. He began as an employment law defense litigator in Spokane, Washington, mentoring under Keller W. Allen and representing employers in complex workplace disputes. After relocating to Boise, Idaho, he joined a regional law firm as a principal, serving first as Chief Human Resources Officer and later as Chief Risk & Compliance Officer. In these roles, he developed compliance programs, advised leadership on risk management, and ensured adherence to legal and ethical standards.
Stephen earned his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University in Connecticut and his J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. Outside the office, Stephen is an avid outdoorsman. He spends much of his free time upland hunting and small-stream fly fishing, pursuits that reflect his appreciation for Idaho’s landscapes and his connection to the outdoor community.
